Who would’t fall for this LBD ?

Profile

We have featured a Little Black Dress here from time to time. The Arja, from L`Abel has been a favorite of mine since Neferia Abel released it last fall and, it seemed like just the right time for a fresh look at this delightful creation. With the early chill of autumn reminding us that the season is about to change, the fur bolero and long gloves are both practical and glamorous. Once again Neferia’s exquisite detail work, combining the best features of her satin and chiffon, enable you to present your best features on the dance floor or relaxing in the lounge before dinner. ~ kym

Skin Secrets

Dulce Secrets

Amazing new skins from Dulce Secrets. This pic is unedited so you can see how well it will look in everyday use as well as on the runway. Look close at the lashes layer with a nice shadow to give the appearance of depth. These skins are the perfect remedy for the laggy runway where prim lashes couldn’t possibly rez. I am wearing the ::DS:: Elke Champagne Bikini. Visit AnneAlyce on the Kissena Park sim to see the full selection of makeups, some of the best dark skins too!. ~ seq

Playing to the Crowd

Always great to play to this crowd!

It sparkles and flows! No, it isn’t champagne, its the new Cadize dress from L`Abel’s Fall Fashion Week Collection! Neferia Abel has another hit with this lovely design, featuring a silk textured, strapless bodice with a light over-skirt and bow at the high waist. And, I just love the matching short bolero!
With the combination of wonderful fall colors and soft flowing lines this is a perfect dress to wear while bidding farewell to summer and welcome to autumn! ~ kym

It Must Still Be Summer ….

It MUST still be summer somewhere!

Yes, I know that autumn is upon us, and all our favorite designers are releasing wonderful new fall lineups, but summer is so fun and i can’t resist one more post of a delightful summer outfit! Appolonia Criss hit all the marks for summer with her Pedro dresses; fresh, light, breezy, colorful and easy to wear. Some really great color choices for this fun little dress from Chantkare, but i went straight for the soft pastels remembering i had the perfect matching sun hat from Elegance Hats. Sadly, this hat line is no longer available but, with or without a chapeau, this little frock is a summer winner. ~ kym

Perhaps Tonight…

Perhaps tonight!

The dramatic eye-catching color combination of the Arjla Gown and the elegant asymmetric look make it a certainty that you will stand out from the crowd in your most formal fall event.

Oh, what a ball!

This gown, a highlight of L`Abel’s Fashion Week Collection, features gathered silk and satin layers softly flowing from a single shoulder cascading to the full flare of the ballroom skirt accented with a wide self cummerbund. All you need do to accent is add your favorite pearls and a confident smile and your are good to go! ~ kym

Business Class

Business Class

It’s business class all the way, with the emphasis on CLASS! another breakthrough style from L`Abel’s Fashion Week Collection. The Beautifully tailored lines of the Rondine dress, created by Neferia Abel, make it a perfect choice for that next business meeting, or perhaps a more casual get together with friends for a glass of Chardonnay and a chat. Nef has included some nice optional trim ac in this outfit including the padded shoulder pieces, contrasting pockets, and even a pair of kicky socks which coordinate nicely with the wool pattern of this most flexible little dress. A must for your fall wardrobe! ~ Kym

…Fashion Week continues!

L`Abel Fashion Week #1

Wow, it is going to take a while to absorb all the amazing new work from our wonderful designers!
I have been so looking forward to what Neferia Abel would bring out for us from Ivalde or L`Abel. And, she definitely revealed a delightful collection of gowns and dresses on Tuesday! It was a hard choice but, I selected her Karola outfit for a first review. The lines of this jacket and skirt combination are so fine, from the dramatically padded shoulders to the peplum flare, this little jacket is so very trim. I thought about adding a contrasting cami, but decided not to do anything which might distract from the crisp, tailored look Nef expressed in this design. The skirt extends the flare of the jacket to a flirty hem which follows the floral pattern of the fabric. It is perfect now for our late summer evenings, and perhaps I’ll consider adding another layer when the season cools. Watch this space for more from L`Abel’s fabulous new collection! ~ Kym

New York, New York

New York, New York!

Fashion Week in SL is always great fun. The designers seem to really draw a special surge of inspiration from the event and the atmosphere is just charged with excitement as the new work hits the runway. Chantkare was featured on opening day this year and showed a luscious array of pre-fall colors and patterns, all worked beautifully in her marvelous designs. Before leaving the show area I just had to drop by the boutique and grab this little MOMI Dress in the special show “Peech” color.

So, this is New York . . .

Can’t wait for the full release of all Applonia’s show items. My new Frill Pumps from Sakka’s Studio (discovered at Shoe Fair) and Lucas Lameth’s fab Feuille Naturelle jewelry set complete this look, and I set out to explore New York! Poses are by Sbecky Kidd of Perfection is Style. ~ Kym

A Weakness for Lace

Temptress Gown - Back

It is all about the lace! If you have been following our blog for even a short time, it will come as no surprise that I have a weakness for dresses and gowns with lace. And Ranena Olivier hits right at the very heart of this weakness with her incredible Temptress Gown. Elegant, sexy and a trifle bold . . . O alright . . . BOLD — but with class! This gown is a dream on the dance floor, moving perfectly with every step. I really love the train and the fine detail work! The lace collar and cuffs attach separtely, but I believe they are so integral to the overall look that I would not remove them. Ranena Olivier Couture (ROC) has many tempting designs but, in my mind, the Temptress Gown is a hands down winner! Thanks Ranena! ~ Kym

One Fine Day…

One fine day . . .

Hal*Hina is not a new store on the grid, but it is a fresh discovery for me. I dropped by on a tip about their lovely hair and was enchanted with the delightful line of dresses there. I spotted the Classic J9080 (interesting name :)) and knew i had found a designer i would return to often. Simple lines, lace, bows and more lace. Definitely my kind of dress! The soft rose grey color is also one of my very favorites. Zhao’s AprilStar ankle boots seemed like a perfect match for an afternoon stroll around Wanderstill and SBecky Kidd’s new animated poses from Perfection is Style were just right for pictures in the garden. Now i must get back to Hal*Hina to check out that hair! ~ Kym
