52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Ecru

52 Week Color Challenge - Ecru

Luna Jubilee’s 52 Weeks of Color Challenge this week brought Ecru, a color from the palette i am most happy to see. There is a gown from Ranena Olivier Couture (ROC) that was released a few months ago i had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to showcase. The Delilah gown was worth the wait to find the right accessories and hair to give the complete look i was hoping for. ROC’s Delilah gown comes with both long and short skirt options and a delicate lace overskirt with some wispy tendrils which simply float with your every move. It is an elegant formal look which merits the addition of AlienBear Design’s fabulous Kielo jewelry set.

I was thrilled to also be able to add La Fleur Rose, one of the new dramatic couture nail designs, which include the bangles and rings, offered as part of the incredibly detailed jewelry line created by tosy Xue of WTG. And finally as you probably know that i am dedicated follower of Damselfly Hair and hope you will indulge my calling your attention to one of the latest in their expanding line of hairbase styles. The Necy is a perfect match to the Deliah gown both softly feminine and elegantly formal. To give just the perfect attitude i was able to pick up some new poses from Morgane Batista Pose Shop during the grand opening of her new shop. Such a wonderful combination – all worth waiting for.~kym

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Silver

52 Week color Challenge - Silver

A New Year to ring in and I was so ready! I was simply overjoyed to see this week for Luna Jubilee’s 52 Weeks of Color Challenge she had chosen SILVER! I had already selected a silver ensemble for my New Year’s Eve look from Ranena Olivier Couture (ROC) so was thrilled i would get to showcase specially for the challenge one of Ranena Olivier’s newest releases ROSELYN. Roselyn is a multi-option outfit which features a sequin jacket that just called out to me when i saw it! My plans for this special New Year’s Eve of course included some ballroom activity, so it was easy to settle on the scrumptious jacket and long dreamy chiffon skirt, the skirt virtually floated on the dance floor giving me the feeling of walking on air. Ranena includes in the set a shorter skirt, and some lovely sequinned pants and a vest option.

Carrying the silver theme further, i chose the new Finesmith Dimensiions jewelry set to complete the look. Hidden away under the skirt above, but elegantly visible during the twirls on the dance floor were Norman Maroon’s Paris boots, from FM Shoes, also in silver. ~kym

A Weakness for Lace

Temptress Gown - Back

It is all about the lace! If you have been following our blog for even a short time, it will come as no surprise that I have a weakness for dresses and gowns with lace. And Ranena Olivier hits right at the very heart of this weakness with her incredible Temptress Gown. Elegant, sexy and a trifle bold . . . O alright . . . BOLD — but with class! This gown is a dream on the dance floor, moving perfectly with every step. I really love the train and the fine detail work! The lace collar and cuffs attach separtely, but I believe they are so integral to the overall look that I would not remove them. Ranena Olivier Couture (ROC) has many tempting designs but, in my mind, the Temptress Gown is a hands down winner! Thanks Ranena! ~ Kym

All That Glitters

All a glitter

Ranena Olivier just keeps designing the most delightful creations! The little Chrisette Dress, available in a tempting variety of colors from Ranena Olivier Couture (ROC), was just too lovely to resist. The soft, and nearly sheer, overskirt has just the slightest hint of a pattern to give special interest to the delicate movement of the dress. The unique bodice trim feature sets this one clearly apart from the “just another cocktail dress” category. I thought that Stiletto Moody’s recently released Bare Olivia’s were made for this dress.! So many nice compliments were showered on me when I wore this outfit to a gallery show last evening. ~ Kym

Ivory ROC’s

Pink Ivory (2)

Ranena Olivier Couture offers such intriguing designs. You may have read the introduction to our blog where Seq mentions that we often show up wearing the same outfits, with no prior coordination. Well, that can lead to some interesting shopping dilemnas 🙂 She staked a claim to the Ivory outfit when it hit the display at ROC, and told me it was hers and i should stay clear! Well, I’ve waited long enuff to shoot her in it, and i really think it looks much better on me than it does on that hanger in her closet! Don’t you agree? ~ Kym

Hmm my dear sister knows i post her pics and comments to each post and could easily alter them `hee hee’ This time i will share since Ranena’s ivory outfit is glorious and deserves every chance to be seen. Also, what kind of sister would i be if i did not share. BTW sis i will have your favourite cashmere back to you in a few days 😀 ~ Seq

I Love Paris in the Spring

I love Paris in the Spring . . .(2)

Who doesn’t love Paris in the springtime? Or even in the fall . . . but I digress! . . . when visiting this magical city of style you need something that is very special to wear. Ranena Olivier offers this CoCo outfit as the ideal solution. The soft cowl neck top, accented by the wide belt echoes the trim silhouette of the pencil skirt, and reflects the Inspiration by Paris’ own CoCo Chanel.

“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.” C. Chanel

Tiramisu on the ROC ?

Tiramisu on the Rocks

It takes the creativity and elegance of Ranena Olivier to get Kym to wear pants! The sensation tweed high-waisted pants combined with the daring soft ruffled blouse of her Tiramisu confection from ROC was just too delightful to pass up! (Sort of like its namesake dessert!) The excellent fit and detail is typical of Ranena’s fine designs. This fun look will definitely reappear in the fall as well! ~ Kym
