The Peace On Earth hunt is golden! That has a double meaning, as all is smooth and there is plenty of things in gold to gather in gifts during the grid wide holiday event. From Formal to Casual with Purple Moon & WTG Jewelry

The spring releases at PurpleMoon Creations reflect the amazing breadth of amazing designs we enjoy from Poulet Koenkamp. Her gowns are always elegant and the Lolita is simply magical! So, it seemed appropriate to add tosy Xue’s Magical Circle earrings from WTG Jewelry.

With cascades of blooms accenting elegant lace and flowing silks PurpleMoon’s new Marzia gown is truly breathtaking. And, once again, I found tosy Xue’s Jewelry to be a perfect accent. The Blessings Ensemble from WTG Jewelry, while not a new release, is one of my favorites, and seems as if it is designed to match this lovely gown.

Purple Moon Creations regularly offers entire styled outfits put together by Poulet and her staff of models. These Designer’s Choice ensembles are consistently well assembled, (with such an amazing array of coordinates to select from!) and usually deeply discounted. These next two outfits are among the ones I haven’t been able to resist adding to my growing wardrobe of PurpleMoon Casuals. I am also excited about all the new spring releases from Lindy’s Modern & Retro Shoes! And this very latest release from WTG Jewelry, the Isis Ensemble is actually a group gift!

We recently celebrated Lewis & Maddie’s second anniversary at Club Noir, their vintage themed Jazz and Swing club. The B&W look seemed like the perfect setting for this shoot. And, its a great spot for an evening of good music and dancing with someone special.

Under the Purple Moon

With so much newness around since the beginning of the year, I hardly know where to start. But let’s jump right in! Poulet Koenkamp is out of the gate for 2013 with a dazzling collection of gowns at Purple Moon Creations. Her La Femme Fatal design clearly lives up to the name, with feather embellishments, bows and cascades of elegant fabrics all focusing attention on silhouette of the wearer. This gown is available in an equally dazzling array of colours but, I could not resist the deep purple.

I am having the best time with the wonderful new Eclipse skin from Silken Moon, and all the makeup options available. Malicia Python has designed a wonderful spectrum of eye and lip colours for formal to casual stylings, with a promise of more to come. I have found that so many of the skins available with mesh components have a heavy, overdone look. Not so with the Eclipse line. These are most artistically developed and make it easy to adapt to just the style you are seeking.

Another most exciting designer, Yula Finesmith, has also been busy producing some unique and beautiful items at Finesmith Jewelry. The Cen Ensemble I am wearing here is actually a member group gift for January. It is fully colour change and menu adjustable too. I am always impressed with designers who reward their faithful customers with the same high quality in gifts that apply in the items they offer for sale. Yula consistently does this. Yay Yula!

The new Cao Gown from PurpleMoon Creations truly captures the grace, elegance and femininity of it’s namesake Caoimhe Lionheart, one of the loveliest models in SL. The combination of iridescent silks and floral lace with daring and delicate lines accentuate the figure in an alluring albeit demure manner. I thought Poulet’s addition of the short lace gloves was the perfect touch.

Again I turned to Finesmith Jewelry for the perfectly matching Grapa Ensemble to complete this look. The Grapa set is available in several stunning stone options to coordinate well with whatever colour choice you select in the Cao Gown.

And you can see that I am still enjoying the flexibility of my new Eclipse skin from Silken Moon, with the soft eye color and multiple lip color options.

PurpleMoon Grand Reopening!

The dust has settled over at PurpleMoon Creations and Poulet Koenkamp has moved to a new location with her fabulous designs. She wants to introduce you to the new look and layout of PurpleMoon Creations and for a limited time has randomly selected items on sale at 25% off! One such outfit she has reduced is the Greta Wool Dress and for an unbelievable price! lets just say two digit affordable luxuriousness! Glitter Shimmer Glam

There is reason to be thrilled when any formal invitation arrives this fall… Black and White and everyshade of the monochromatic spectrum are being seen at white tie events. Mohna Lisa Couture has a selection of wonderfully designed gowns that will do wonders to show off your figure and are amazingly inventive! This is the Erotica Mesh gown seen here worn by Sequoia. This silhouette dress will amaze both the one wearing it and those who see it passing by. The sheer sides of this optical illusion gown actually have colour change panels. These panels, under the sheer fabric, are able to match all skin tones, so they achieve that silhouette and remain modest like dancers costumes. Secondly, the skirting glimmers and shimmers as you move a unique effect perfected for this gown. This is not scripted or particle in any way, it is entirely accomplished by how Mohna textured the gown. The included Fascinator rises above in a flourish with optional veil and adds an adittional flair to an already very fascinating gown.

Next we have Kymsara wearing the extremely provacative Julia gown with a pewter and sterling finish. The fabric is tailored exqusitely to form, capturing the light and the shadow cast so perfectly across satin patterned fabric. The silk highlights continue as the sheer threads woven into this organza skirt are fluid with her every move. The over the shoulder collar is also sheer and swoops down to frame the deep plunging neckline. The same fabric is used as cuffs to the sterling stiched gloves, giving the entire gown an attratively complete finish.

Last we come to the Yolanda Glittery Black gown from Mohna Lisa worn by Sequoia. This black full skirted bit of artistic mastery cannot be captured well by mere photography, it must be seen worn to be appreciated. Like the Erotica gown above, Mohna has woven his magic glimmer shimmer into the skirt. Do not wear this to any events where you are trying to remain unnoticed. The plume of this gown will sweep across the floor capturing all eyes. What is best is that it flows below the shimmer of the black satin rising to silhouette your magnificent form. There is a certain assymetry to the cut of the Yolanda Glittery Black which encouraged Sequoia to take some chances with this gown and wear some jewels and hair that might not be the most traditional for such a formal white tie event. The Ireth Chain Halo Headpiece and earrings from PurpleMoon available through L’accessoires are absolutely perfectly suited to the braided mesh locks from Elemental Hair that fall wonderfully off the open end of the assymentric collar.

Kym similarly discovered her perfect match to her ensemble in the White/Rose Pearl Necklace from HANDverk at L’accessoires and chose the more traditional color option of the Tableau Vivant’s Colorful Glasses – they come with awesome multiple color change we will feature in future post. The Oragami suit by Baiastice has several shades of marvelous to suit any complexion. KymSara is wearing the orange which goes so nicely with her new Wasabi Pills hair and it appears she also found those Santigold mesh pumps with optional ankle strap from Baiastice irresistible.

Just a few days ago we were talking about the fabulous Paula Gown that Poulet designed as a hunt gift for PurpleMoon’s third anniversary celebration. Sometimes — well okay, OFTEN – i find myself with a urge to do some serious shopping! (Surprise!) And, since this is a fairly special (albeit frequent) occasion, it merits a special outfit – right? (Yes, yes, i know so do other special occasions, like weeks with a Wednesday in them :)) But I digress. Something casual, but dressy, comfortable but chic . . . If you (like the other 14,000 PurpleMoon fans), have been paying attention you have probably noticed the “Manager’s Choice” offerings in the main store. This little ensemble actually was a recent selection from that series and included the lacy Dahlia Skirt, Chandra top, Margo Jewelry, belt and shoes in a combination which i think is perfectly delightful. I loaded my Lindens into my new Linnen Baggie Purse fromSySy’s, grabbed my new Holly Sunglasses from Redgrave and pulled out one of my old favorite summer hats from Elegance Hats (sadly no longer available) and headed out to (where else?)
