Spring is definitely in the air and all of our favorite designers are anticipating the season’s colours with special offerings. Yula Finesmith brings us the colours of Spring with a floral inspired Ensemble Called Kotar. And yes, those are the Rave Nails, also from Finesmith Jewelry! My gown is the latest release from Paris Metro Couture, a delicate floral, appropriately named Etre en Fleurs. You will find it in a variety of impossible to resist colours — perfect for that first spring affair.

The matching Princess of the Forest Jewelry Ensemble, was one of the wonderful colour-change sets offered by Lazuri Jewelry during the recent Fashion for Life event.

You must see the amazing texture detail on the Lacy Candy Cocktail dress from Paris Metro Couture. Offered in a variety of colours as well as this noir, the lace top is lined in a contrasting tone and the mesh skirt is lined in the matching colour. A very polished look for the coming season of galas. And with this delightful short skirt I can show off my new Grace Sandals from GoS Boutique. My bracelet and earrings are from Chop Zuey’s River Rocks Ensemble, released during the recent Fashion for Life event.

I just had to choose this Emerald Arun Gown from among the spectrum of spring-like hues from Paris Metro Couture and add the LaSchiava Jewelry Ensemble just released by E-Clipse from the current round  of offerings from L’Accessoires. And where better to shoot this combination than the Emerald City at Oz? This is a must visit sim. It is fully executed in mesh and has some of the most creative vistas!

On a Golden Wintery Eve & Bamboo Dreams

I am continually amazed at the creative elegance of Vivien Emerald’s spectacular couture designs. In these latest releases from DESIR Haute Couture, Vivien has captured the allure and mystery of the traditional lines of Chinese costume while exploiting the beauty and flow of the most incredible silk brocades to bring us two gowns of breathtaking beauty. The Chinese Golden Dragon Costume features a high collar bolero with very traditional capped shoulder elements, over a gown which dramatically emphasizes the form and movement of the wearer. The ensemble includes an incredible dragon headpiece, with an appropriate hair addition to complete  the traditional costume look. I chose however, to style this one to show its flexibility as a more modern formal gown, adding tosy Xue’s fabulous Myth Jewelry set from WTG Jewelry (which seems almost magically matched to Vivien’s gown) and a typical western updo from Amacci. Regardless of your personal approach to this gown, you will be delighted with the look, fit and ease of wearing the myriad parts and attachments that are a part of this most amazing design.

It is difficult to choose a favorite between these two costumes from DESIR Haute Couture! In the Shena ensemble, Vivien once again finds inspiration in the line and fabric of the most traditional Chinese dress, moving forward from there with her typically stunning interpretation. The billowing soft silk she uses in this gown contrasts so effectively with the detailed fine lines of the primary gown pieces. As soon as I saw the floral and bamboo embellishments on this rich fabric I knew right away that the perfect jewelry match would again be one of my favorite sets from  WTG Jewelry. This is one of tosy Xue’s earlier designs with a relatively unremarkable name of J:D-02, but an amazingly detailed floral cluster which echoes the embroidery of the gown’s collar. Vivien also includes her awesome dragon headpiece/hairpiece attachments with this ensemble to enable you to capture more fully the essence of the traditional costume.

I really enjoyed a visit to the China and Amatsu Shima sims to shoot this series in two of the most tranquil and dreamlike settings in SL. And, having the on-location lighting flexibility of my LumiPro, enabled me to capture the beauty of these designs in a most appropriate environment.

Christmastide in Paris, and the hunt is on!

Rose’s awesome designs from Paris Metro Couture just keep on coming! Her latest release includes a line of holiday gowns, which are all just beautiful. I selected the Red Velvet Romance Gown and Cape ensemble for the Annual Snow Ball. (Would you believe this incredible gown is actually a gift for the Womanstuff Hunt?!)  There is nothing like deep velvet to make you feel pampered and elegant, with just a touch of the softest fur trim at the bodice, and top of the long gloves. Once you arrive at the ball, and remove the cape, this gown is sensational from every angle. Rose’s meticulous details are even noticeable in the line of the deep cut back and the row of tiny buttons. Yula Finesmith’s “Let it Snow” jewelry is a perfect compliment for the holiday touch. I chose the gold for this look but, was tempted by the other textures as well – especially the platinum version. Interestingly, Rose has named her other holiday gown “Let it Snow!” and this jewelry set would also be perfect with that gown. We’ll have a look at this combination soon! Inspired by the timeless classic, Aladdin’s Lamp, this gown captures all the exotic mystery of the oriental romance thriller. My Dark Zone Jewelry from Tosy Xue at WTG Jewelry is just the perfect match for the elegant lace silhouettes of this gown.

Out for an afternoon of shopping, Sequoia has it all together in this eye catching ensemble styled around Paris Metro’s Scribble Cocktail Dress. She was so taken with this ensemble that includes the hat, that she created a matching bag and jewelry of her own modified design to match. No stopping there she took a yellow cab to MStyle to pick up the perfect shoes. And those legs!!!  Are you taking a long look? . . .

Were you wondering too? how could an elephant stand on those?! Ohhhh . . . you thought i meant Sequoia’s legs . . . mmm hmm!

A bit later that evening we meet up with KymSara . . . , the party was lovely, but it is time for a breath of fresh air and a quiet stroll on the beach. The Mountain Satin dress, NEW from Paris Metro, is a classic look with a contemporary feel accentuated by a vintage straw hat draped with a colourful sash. The Mountain Satin dress is perfect for a look that will take you through the afternoon into an evening of cocktails on the patio at the club and, finally, under the moon with wedgesandals in hand, being chased by the waves and a soon to be dear loved one. Carefree, the skirt is sheer heaven and will float and flutter making the evening breeze even more inviting.

Ever the consummate stylist, Sequoia was back the next day going round and round and after a rather loud exhausted search she found the perfect accessories to go with her new Racing Baggies Pants and Halter Top from Paris Metro. One thing is certain and you can take it to the bank. The Racing Baggies Pants and Halter Top will most definitely show off your curves and the will rev up your favorite race fan; talk about your fashion “cycle”. Are you with me so far? Are you on “track”? Now i know what you are thinking so she is on a motorcycle, so what, you may even think its easy to shoot fashion pics, right? Hah! After a stack of blurred images i got one! Sequoia, in her bee coloured outfit, has a lot to buzz about and you too should be taking the fast lane to Paris Metro.
