Boho Hobo & Meena at the Fair

More Boho Hobo - For the Fair

Canadian designer Trill Zapatero has traveled the world and studied the textile creations of many countries. Trill has lived the bohemian lifestle. This experience of vagabonding through many countries of various traditions brought her to create Boho Hobo and Meena brands in SL. The designs are so incrediblely colourful and exciting, what even makes them stand out more is Trill’s generosity. Not only are her fabulous designs reasonabley priced, but all proceeds from all sales go to RAWA, an organization that funds orphanages, schools and clinics for refugees of the Afghan war. All of these amazing designs are available at the Boho Cultural Fair until October 31st.

Sequoia wears the mesh skinny jeans and matching Bandeau top in aqua. Mix and match is so much the ideal at Boho Hobo with selection of many seperates to create your own unique look. A few flowers in her hair from Truth or the Abe hat with a fine flourish of feathers, Sequoia is ready to bring her wearable artism to Burn2 the art event in SL that is the only virtual sanctioned community of Burning Man.

Boho Hobo - For the Fair

Kymsara is wearing the Backless Choli Top & Kuci Skirt from Meena. Meena clothing and jewelry is influenced by the Afghanistan textile traditions. The backless Choli top is gathered by a soft ribbon tie above the top skirting the waistline of the vibrant Kuci skirt. Bohemian, Gypsy and Hippie influnces in the cut and style of clothes can be seen in the melting pot of world fahion and as the influence of textile traditions merge.

More Boho Hobo - For the Fair

Every so often the free styling of Boho resurfaces to the most unlikely of places of style as club wear. This wherly gigs mesh tube dress could be seen as a very transistional dress going from afternoon straight to an evening out. The crazy quilted pattern lends itself well to tradition while looking fresh and Boho-Chic. You could definitely see Kate Moss in such a look. The Boho Culture Fair runs thru October 31st don’t miss your opportunity to pick up on some exclusive looks!

Once or Twice in a Purrrrple Moon

Once in a Purple Moon . . .

Poulet Koenkamp of PurpleMoon is really quite an exceptional designer in so many ways. The quality of her gifts certainly speaks to give reason to why she now has over 15,000 group VIP’s. Her latest group gift is absolutely breathtaking and equal to the quality and detail of even her most expensive gowns. Such flourish spreads forth from the shoulder and bodice, petals unfolding to a New Dawn. In the New Dawn gown you will feel so fresh and elegant in the flow and gradeur and to think it’s free!

Purrr . . .

There is something about a little animal print outfit . . . This Cheetah dress from PurpleMoon, was another group gift! Sorta makes it doubly special! Poulet is not only one of the grid’s most fabulous designers but, also one of the most generous! Always a pleasant surprise and well worth the group.

Elikatira, formerly ETD, has been back for a while and once again is offering some very lovely hair designs. I particularly love the softness of this Abbey hair and was able to bring out some favorite heels from SLink to add a nice complementary touch.

The Apocalypse Will Not Be Televised

The Apocalypse Will Not Be Televised

My friend Trill Zapatero is just overflowing with creative energy and always has a surprise in store. Whether she is designing some terrific new finely detailed wearable art for her Boho Hobo shop or decorating her city sewer gallery, yes, SEWER! Proving that even among such a setting such treasures will emerge and come to light. Speaking of which check out her exhibit of awesome lamps, or go up a couple floors to the loft above her shop to see her real life painting creations to brought to our pixel life , we can always be assured that her work is vital, colorful and fascinating. Her latest effort – a not to be missed interactive exhibit called – “The Apocalypse Will Not Be Televised,” is beyond description. Trill has combined some of the most unlikely media in such a wonderful way. You’ll find wreckage from man-made and natural disasters, lush gardens, ghost guides, intricate surprise pathways and colorful graffiti as you explore and consider what things might be like post oil, post economic collapse, post money, post everything almost, as the environment is repairing herself.

The Apocalypse Will Not Be Televised

O yes, my outfit — It is the new Tunic Suit from Gizza. Cool, colorful and comfortable. Tosy Xue, of WTG Jewelry just released these awesome Rainbow Rainbow sunglasses with an animation to push them up and bring them back down to your nose. And they go so well with the Tunic Suit! My earrings and necklace are new, and a Depraved Nation Hunt Gift from Chop Zuey. This is a unique color version of the newly released Babylon series at Chop Zuey which includes some really beautiful stones. (note the theme consistency here – Depraved Nation . . . Babylon . . . ) I’m also still enjoying the new releases from Elikatira Hair. This one is called “Later”. hmmm . . . perhaps just the style for an exploration of a post-apocalyptic world!

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: White

52 Week Color challenge - White (Close)

Luna Jubilee’s 52 Weeks of Color Challenge to come up with something white should be easy right? Well maybe! Definitely needs to have the feel of Spring. My first thought turned upon one of my very favorite hats, the Lady Delia by Reghan Straaf of Hatpins. With all the light spring rains i need something delightful to protect me as i go from the garden to the gazebo and back again.

With the choice of chapeaus resolved there seemed to be more of a challenge than i had first thought. I knew something fresh and spring-like was needed, and not any old thing or a dress that might be mistaken for a wedding dress. Then out of nowhere it hit me! There it was! Jojo Runo’s little lace Hyperkinetic Dress from RunoRuno. Very nicely finished in layers of lovely soft lace it offers the ideal blend of formal sophistication and and demure sexiness (is that an oxymoron?)…Nah no more than natural make-up. Alienbear Gupte’s pearls add some lustre and my new Sydney Stilettos from SLink look slick and voila i was ready to dance between the raindrops!
